Hello and welcome to another mummy-blog. You join me now at the turning of the tide. I’ve wanted to write for years, but have finally plucked up the courage. During my 10 year writers block I have worked, paid bills, got drunk, got married and got a Siberian Husky. I was sane (well, for a woman) and lived a very ordinary life.
Then I became a mum and my brain turned to jelly. (and my heart…and my thighs)
My two boys are now 2 and 4 and I have started to see through the fog and I have a few coherent thoughts back in my brain. My eldest (the Jabbermonkey) is at nursery and the youngest, (the Hulk) is fully supportive of my blogging, as long as I keep him fed and let him have his nap.
My life can be mayhem. On a daily basis unpredictable calamities occur and chores and duties restrict my time. Forgive my technical errors. As for the title of the blog…I believe motherhood has made me a little crazy. Maybe you are a mad mummy too and know what I’m talking about. I have embraced the madness, and so should you. This blog wont tell you how to be a perfect mum. But whatever your day is like you can laugh at my mistakes, or grin as I recount what you too are going through. Have you just kept a small human alive for another day? If so, give yourself a pat on the back. Follow me and give yourself the gift of a sit down and a maybe a giggle at my expense. Perhaps I will offer some pearls of wisdom. But then, what do I know, I’m just a mad mummy.
